Reupholstered my driver seat cushion
Hey guys, I finally got around to installing a new drivers seat cushion cover in my ZL1.
The previous owner had 3 little stains that would not come out of the suede, and they drove me nuts. Install wasn't bad at all (see photos below). Part# 23161532 Instructions: 1. Remove seat from car (2 torx T-50 bolts, detach wire harness, and tip forward and out). 2. Remove plastic trim along side of seat (2 Phillips head screws). 3. Unclip seat cover from seat frame (3 points of contact... front and both sides). 4. Start lifting seat cover up and off foam padding (you will start to reveal the hog rings). 5. Remove all hog rings via needle nose pliers. 6. Disconnect the wire harness that runs from the seat back to the seat bottom. 7. Pull seat cover through the portion of the seat back and seat base (you have now removed the bottom seat cover). 8. Installation is the reverse of removal except I chose zip ties vs. dealing with new hog rings (made installation a breeze).

Looks good. Any special tools needed?

I only replaced the lower section. Upper was mint.

Thanks. No special tools required unless you choose to use hog rings to reinstall. If so, I'd suggest the hog ring pliers.
