Cooling tank just isn't large enough to keep it cool (from my understanding of it being explained to me)

Well lowering springs came in and I started the install.. Pain in the ass by the way, impact drill is required for this install.
Here's one picture, I got the fronts in and I'll do the rear tomorrow. If you can pay for it, I HIGHLY recommend having a shop install these.. I mean HIGHLY I just didn't have the patience to wait at one.

Alright, little update.
My buddy decided to toss out my stock springs (since normal people don't keep stock parts) So I'll be using the B&G 1.5in lowering springs while I wait for BMR or they fix the issue with the front. Went by the dealership earlier to grab a picture in front of a stock car, so hopefully it was close enough. If not, I'll go back again when I don't have the little one. Drag strip tomorrow night (3/25) to get a few run's in. Then another dyno pull on Thursday after the Cold Air Inductions CAI comes in. Anyways, here's a picture for those of you wondering.

You will once you do the heads and cams. I think you would run low 11's or even high 10's with DRs. The stock tires are godly BUT a bit too narrow SS is designed to be a bit of budget best of both street and track beast, ZL1 is just the God of Street and Track but comparing a 40-50k vehicle to a 60-70k doesn't make sense and I won't go into it. There is a reason why ZL1 and 1LE have the same tire and suspension setup. You need to go 285/30/20 and 305/30/20 of our stock GY's on those doesn't exist yet.

Bigger tires will come when I can find the wheels to fit. Just a little bit of a google search. Hopefully cam is in before so I can install it. Thank you for the tips

DR's especially on RWD vehicles make a HUGE difference. It just makes it PITA for street use. You want to take off the DRs on the street for multiple reasons but then you want em back on for the strip. So plain and simple PITA lol. The stock tires are perfectly created for the stock power levels. You get to use all your STOCK power with the tires but once you add a couple things, you can tell the tires are fighting even more. I haven't done much but got rid of secondary cats, ported TB and ported IM and I can tell that the tires fight more compared to bone stock and I am betting all that is only about 15-20 hp gain over stock which is really nothing. Once I slap on intake, ported headers and borla xpipe, another 20-25 and with tune, I should be around 450 which I am curious on how the tires will handle that. I think they will be just fine on rolls but from 0 mph, it might be just interesting! Once you do the heads and cams and all... Those stock tires won't be any good for you lol. What good is X amount of power if you can't put it down! If you plan on boosting, you might want to look into G-Force rear axles as well (they are the weak link of our camaros, I am willing to bet ZL1 has beefier ones) or just grab the OEM ZL1 ones (once out of course). Keep us updated! |

It does, at least this way it is MUCH MUCH smoother and more responsive.
More power will come, I just have to be patient unfortunately

BMR Tunnel brace installed.
It takes more time putting the car on the lift than it does to install this. Maybe 30minutes without a lift?

Alright a little update.
There was a delay on the Cam since blanks were not readily available. Should have it in 2-3 weeks (again, hopefully) Have everything to port heads and rebuild em. ZEX Nitrous kit was ordered Still waiting on a few other things to be built and released.
