Inside "Bubble" in fabric

I sometimes get what I can only describe as a bubble in the headliner after raising/lowering the top. When it does it I can reach over and tuck it back into the side rail. Don't want the dealer to replace or take the top apart to fix it fearing they make it worse. Anyone else have this issue?

This is what it should look like:

This is what it looks like when the issue is present. Note that the seam is showing. That seam should be tucked under the plastic trim piece as shown in the top pic.

Dealer service is always a last-ditch resort for me due to the strong possibility of the car being worse-off than it was before. In your case I might try comparing the two sides to see what the difference could be, or maybe a small piece of non-adhesive hook velcro would stick to that material and anchor it better behind the trim so it stops creeping out?

Thanks for the reply. I will partially raise the top to see if that will work. I do know that there is an elastic band that is suppose to keep it in place so I am thinking it needs to move.

Had this happen al the time in my 5th gen, but it never caused any premature wear issues. Eventually I just accepted that it was there.

I took it in for an oil change and had the dealer look at it. They adjusted the top. I am hoping it is fixed.
