All good, I'm very familiar with HD Duramax's and the new 6.2s and I am happy not to be paying Duramax maintenance costs or suffering from the rough ride anymore.

Still safer in a HD and u can’t beat a hd diesel if you tow frequently and long distances. It is just less fatiguing on the driver

My Dad's truck is a 1/2 ton LTZ with the 6.2L. The HD is either a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton.

As you know, an HD is not necessary for a 20' boat, enclosed with bikes, etc.

Cool.
I hated the harsh ride of my Duramax, and wasn't a fan of the high initial cost, and higher maintenance costs over my 6.2. I used my Duramax to tow a heavy (10K+) camper through the mountains, I wouldn't ask my gasser to do that...which is why we own a lighter trailer, and don't take it to the mountains (the fuel costs alone pay for some amazing cabins at the same locations).

Thanks it was between this and the dark blue. My 2000 was indigo blue and the 2010 was sheer silver wanted something a bit different. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
