The PCA registration opens on the 30th - can we plan to register for the May 19-20 event?

Are folks that wreck all being negligent? I mean, it's a racetrack - professionals wreck all the time - seems like a BS business model from the customer's stance, nice for track owners though.

I will post a new thread on track event. As for COTA charging - I know, just the price of entry. Good news, very unlikely you will pay COTA a dime for track damage.

No. I've seen multiple crashes due to mechanical issues as well. I had a steel belt break in a tire that almost put me into the inside wall of turn 8 at Sebring, also cooked the brakes in a boxster my first or second DE on the short Sebring course but luckily I had the old hairpin as run off.

I remember one hot day at Sebring a vette lost a radiator hose (I believe) causing coolant to spill and the car to spin off into a wall.

That being said, there ARE people who drive over their head and wad it up, but overall an accident at a DE is rare regardless of the cause.

UPDATE: Service Advisor just called me to let me know that all parts are in for the engine replacement and work starts this morning. It appears that this is a 3-4 day job and "if I am lucky I will have my Camaro back on Tuesday." So, I am feeling pretty grateful and lucky - I need to get back to the track ASAP.

Thanks again for such a great car and warranty Chevrolet.

Congrats!

Just remember though unfortunately you will have another 1500 mile break in period with your brand new engine.
