Who wants the Corvette ZR1 Style Wing with ZL1 1LE Brackets?
Since I'm making both of these, I thought why not make the ZR1 style ZTX wing with the ZL1 1LE brackets for a direct bolt on solution? I'll be making the larger front splitter too. The ZL1 has 350lbs downforce at 155 MPH and the ZR1 ZTK has 900lbs. I've talked to quite a few of you track guys and the general consensus is the car could use some more downforce. So, you can do the front, the rear, or both depending on your driving style!
I already have it modeled, just need to see if there is interest to make it! |

What price range are we talking about here ?
I would be interested in having two rear wing options for my Zl1 1LE. Especially if it contributes to more downforce. I’m sire the general shape of the vette has a lot to do with those 900 pounds of downforce as well.

Yesss I'm loving this!! Also wondering what price range this would be at. Are you guys looking at other aero parts like the dive planes/canards to pair/match with these wings?

Hot damn, looking great! Are you thinking of doing a pre-order for this to gauge interest? Or just go for it and make it?

We just finished up our first C7 Z06 conversion with the ZR1 style wing and needless to say, it fit flawlessly! |

Are you using the same carbon supplier as you were with parts for the CTS-V2 from 2-3 years ago? I had a few parts from you on that car and fit and finish wasn’t the best (fender inserts, coupe rear wheel splash guard, fog buckets, and hood). Not trying to be rude about that. Some of your other vehicle stuff that’s come our more recently looks really good, so I have to ask. Thanks in advance.

Yes this is the ZTXL wing which is approx 7" wider than the standard ZR1 style wing; however, I'm planning to use the stock 65" width which will fit the body a little better
Not gonna like this looks pretty cool haha |

Can the trunk lid survive 900 lbs of down force?

I have the 2019 ZR1 ZTK with the high wing. The 900 plus pounds of down force reaches max at or near top speed as I understand it 200 plus mph. Would like to see 155 mph comparison to learn actual increase in down force. On the ZR1 it is "front balanced" with an underwing to prevent the lift and instability that can accompany that much down force. Furthermore, the ZTK wing is mounted with hardwar to the frame with metal brackets. Weapon X uses billet for his ZR1 brackets but I don't know if factory trunk mount brackets would be strong enough for that much down force. I have a 2017 ZL1 and would have to determine the instability and steering response to so much down force on the rear. Weapon X quality and engineering is second to none however I would like to see some data on durability, handling and other factors affecting safety before mounting this laege wing on the trunk of my ZL1.

I hate to be the nay-sayer but I don't think this is going to be a performance improvement, only cosmetic. It may even hinder performance compared to the OEM ZL1 1LE wing.
GM already went ludicrous-mode on the ZL1 1LE, including its wing. If the ZR1's wing was going to improve performance I sure they would have used it. I'd bet the ZL1 1LE's wing is the exact balance of downforce and drag to reach optimal lap times. My guess would be that the ZR1 wing is going to hurt lap times and certainly hurt 0-60 and 1/4 mile times if you're into that. Having said all that -- there's nothing wrong with modding purely for cosmetic reasons Just putting it out there.
