Sooooooo much better looking with the front end painted body color, and moving the bowtie to the grill is just the cherry on top!!

Well what do you know....Looks like a capitulation of sorts with the front fascia....A concept, I know...but really? I think it's more of a knee-jerk reaction to the initial feed-back for the front fascia...Could be interpreted as a slap in the face to those who didn't mind the original look...oh, well...

I'll give Chevy credit for one thing....They finally figured out how to center a bow-tie emblem on the grille!...Gosh, what a concept!...lol

"it's only been six months, this is just an initial negative reaction. Wait another year or two. People didn't even love the 67' until 1976!"

Thanks for this Samurai, gotta say I like both, this new one is likely going to appeal more to mass market. I could be wrong, who knows. The current or original refresh SS design has brought in some new customers from what I've seen. So definitely interesting if Chevy is going to change it up soon.

I wonder how it looks from side profile with the body color bumper versus black. Also how it looks without the stripes on the hood. Time will tell.

These tires look real beefy, are they Michelins by any chance?

Edit: nvm, they are good years, but I think 1LE tire setup.

I really like the color. I wouldn't buy it, but I'd certainly admire it from afar.

The painted fascia and relocated bowtie are less off-putting. However if I'm going to drop $40K+ for a car I'm going to aim a bit higher than "not too ugly".

If I'm going to drop 40$K+ on a car, it definitely won't be one with a 15 year old 'LX' chassis.

Very bright color for the look at me crowd.
I'm too old for it and like to fly a bit under the radar.

The front end looks better in darker colors. Many options is a good thing!

I like the painted front end on the SS. It looks much better than the black. And the bow tie in the grill looks better too! Maybe for 2020 Chevy will have paint on the front and offer some more options.
