I noticed the same thing with my Z06. The ZL1 will run you out with the AC or heater.

I live in South Florida and the AC is good. I tend to start the car remotely when walking up to it so that the car can run for 30-60 seconds which makes a surprising difference when jumping into it in the middle of the summer. Once you get through the first 3 minutes, the AC starts to lower the fan. You’ll have no problems or complaints.

So for me, getting the chiller benefitted me and my car! LOL
This is a very interesting take on the interchiller lol, and also kind of refreshing to hear.

The A/C works as expected in a modern car. I like it cold, and paired with the vented seat, I rarely need to blast it 100% of the time. And if my fiance is in the car, the passenger side is usually luke warm anyway.

Window tint (ceramic especially) will help keep that interior cold. GM did a good job with the shields under the car so the trans tunnel won't melt the right side of your body.

I’m in Sputh TX, and the AC with the cooled seats work pretty good.

I think the AC in my ZL1 isn't all that great and I live in Nor Cal where it doesn't get all too hot. To combat the heat during the wave of hot days, I had the all the windows tinted (including the windshield) with a carbon ceramic tint at 70%. You can't even tell the windows are tinted which was the look I was going for. Having all the windows tinted helped a lot IMO. As I read in a earlier post, remote start it and have the settings blow in high and let it sit for 30sec to a min...helps a lot.

Im in the san fernando valley. The only problem ive had is on a 105+ Degree day i stupidly parked with the windshield facing the sun and after a couple hours it was like stepping into a blast furnace. The a/c worked beautifully and cooled the car to a comfortable temp in under 5 mins... but the vented seats heated up so much that it blew piping hot air across my back. Over my 30 min drive home i tried it maybe half a dozen times to no avail. It wasnt until the car cooled completely that the seats vented air that wasnt the same temp as the surface of the sun.

Haha same here. I’d say ac performance is noticeably better in the ZL1 compared to my 2011 CTS-V.

I have Llumar airblue 80 on both cars as well which drastically helps in keeping the cabin cool (especially when you live in TX).

The AC is fine but the vents don’t distribute the air perfectly as it’s a sports car with limited realestate for mo-better vents.
