I might be buying a 2ss with the black rims with red line.. was a 2K option, but I prefer just black (either type that came stock). Is anyone interested in purchasing them or swapping for straight black rims?

What can I expect for the rims if I just sell them outright? They would of course be new condition.

I think the red stripe is undercoating, so it would be hard to remove, right? Thanks.

The red stripe wheels are premium and many if not most would prefer those over black. Not sure what they're worth, but I wish I had them.

I dont understand why they are premium. Are they lighter? They look like stock to me.. I'd never pay $2K for 2 cents in decals by choice.

Because they are LPO. You get a second set of rims when you get the red stripe option.

Unfortunately it's only a secret because a lot of dealers don't tell the customer and the dealer just ends up selling the stock silver 5 spokes and never actually give them the to the customer. I almost purchased a car from a dealer around me but they had already sold the wheels and would not include another set for the price I wanted to pay so I told them to pound sand. It's basically theft by deception.

So for everyone out there, if you buy the $2000 wheel option, make sure the dealer gives you second set of rims or they're ripping you off.

The finish on these wheels are MUCH better too IMO. The standard black rims look like they were plasti-dipped.
