@rorymick - do you have the navigation in your RS package or one must upgrade to 2LT

I dont have the Nav. Originally i was under the impression that nav came with the infotainment package but it doesnt. I have RPO IO5. The RPO for the 8" screen with nav is IO6.

No biggie. Ill get either factory nav module whichi dont know the price of. Or the $1200 usd (ouch) aftermarket module. As I like the nav system.

Just use Apple CarPlay / Android Auto for your nav

I chose my 1LT RS 2.0T mostly because I could afford it, the fuel economy is great, and the aftermarket is expected to be big soon.
I also got the Heavy Duty Cooling & Brake Package because you get Brembos and massive cooling capabilities (insurance for eventual tuning) for a steal of a price.

There under $1000 for OEM, and its a 30Min install, i like OEM nav, but you dont have to use it you can use your cell phone and it works.

Only way you get that is if you buy the RS pack too.

Since ofer and I ordered the 2.0 equipped LT the Order Guide has been changed to reflect the Heavy Duty Braking and Cooling package can be ordered with the RTH 20" wheels and does not need the RS package. This change means the Order Guide now conforms to the original pricing list. The discrepancy back then between the Guide and the Pricing was a source of a few questions per my recollection and PMs.

I plan to upgrade the car to add the parts that where not offered at the time with out getting the RS car, on a side note this car is so much fun to drive, and still getting good gas millage, can tell you i drove from Oxnard Ca to home some 366 Mi, still have 186 to go on the DIC on one tank of gas, not bad for a Camaro

Which car/engine?

The 40 mpg is pretty much hwy.

The job site im on tomorrow is 43 miles so I'll be testing the economy a bit more. Id love to break the 40 mpg barrier (6.8L/100km)

I'm getting about 25.x in town and rural town driving... Haven't been on the hwy long enough to get a number, but I think mid-high 30s would be easily attainable.

I got 46.5 MPG on my morning commute this morning on the HWY..

Up here in Canada we use L/100km and the economy screen in the car is 40km 80km and 725km markers.

6.1L/100km. = 46.5 MPG.

Once off hwy and city driving for 10 minutes i parked it this morning at 6.7L/100km.

105 KM/H on cruise control.

91 octane.

I chose the 2.0T 6Speed Manual(I enjoy driving manual)

1. Within my budget
2. Better gas mileage and Turbo kicks on when needed power

V8 was out of budget for me.

Wife took her 2014 gen 5 in for service a couple of weeks ago and while she was waiting looked at the gen 6 they had, called me up and said she wanted a new one, I told her no 4cyl and the salesman told me to come over a drive it... Took it for a ride and was impressed about how it performed over the 2014 v6 we had.... Last weekend we spent the day leaf peeping in Vermont and had a blast, I'm turbo addicted...
