A few more 2021 ZLE differences noted...
One thing (which is nice) is the car recalls sport mode which would default to tour in my '17. Also the fuel pump seems to prime for several actions and is audibly much more aggressive than the '17. Unlock on the key fob does it as well as opening the driver's door. I suppose there were some long cranking scenarios GM is trying to prevent.
The exhaust is a bit louder stock to stock...this is purely subjective but you know what I mean. I realize the back seat padding is thinner and all of that but this '21 gurgles and barks way more than the more reserved '17. And as I stated in a previous post, the '21 ZLE doesn't have a ride quality which is impossible to tolerate. The '15 Z/28 was a bit rougher comparitively. And the car has all of 220 mi on it now but it still doesn't tramline nearly as badly as the Z/28 with pirelli trofeos.

I don’t know about being tougher than the Z/28. I had a 2018 ZL1 1LE and now 2019 ZL1 1LE. The gen 6 has a tad smoother ride.

I agree...the 6th gen is smoother. I said the '15 Z/28 was a bit rougher comparatively.

I had a 17 ZL1 as well, and a 21 ZLE now. The exhaust tube DEFINITELY has significantly more off throttle decal fueling causes the crackle for a few seconds. I’m not certain I like this much. I’ll likely have that disabled once tuned in the future.
My 17 would remain in sport mode between driver. |

Z/28 was the truth. Dry sump, CCBS, helical diff, LS7, low gearing. Man.

Looking forward to reading your ‘on track’ impressions comparing to ZL1 1LE to the standard ZL1 and also the 5th gen Z/28.

My 18 ZL1 primes the fuel pump when I open the door, not sure about the key fob as I hardly lock it. It's very audible and hard to not ignore.
I believe mine recalls whatever mode it was last in as well. But I leave it mainly in Tour when coming home |

I "jumped the gun" on the mode discussion above. Track mode still defaults to Tour upon restart. The comment about Sport mode is consistent from the '17 to the '21

My ‘21 ZL1 will remain in sport (or tour) mode on restart, but will switch to tour if shut off in track mode. The stock exhaust in fairly loud in sport or track modes and can crackle aggressively on the overrun. Cold start is also loud/aggressive with a nice burst of revs. Overall, I like the way the car sounds, but I wouldn’t want it any louder. Not a ZLE, so I can’t comment on ride differences. I will say the ZL1 rides surprisingly well in tour mode.

I understand why track mode isn't persistent, but snow/ice is a bit strange... maybe GM didn't want people to complain about no power after startup because they had accidentally turned the car off in snow mode?

My 17 primes the fuel pump with the opening of the drivers door as well as when unlocked with the keyfob.
BTW Stephen12ZL1 I'm really digging that Wild Cherry color in the 1LE trim, kinda has me thinking about trading in

Guys, aren't you reaching a bit with these "differences", that fuel pump had to be primed in 2018 or even in 2016, gotta keep the beast fed Sport mode has always been sticky as stated by others as well. The minimum final spark tables were updated slightly in the 2019+ OEM tune for more crackles and pops, that is true.
Come on, your 2021 cars are indeed awesome and special, but not that special
