What to rent for Angelas Crest Highway drive?

A 2 night trip for work has now become a full week where I will have the weekend to myself. I've never been to California before, so I wanted to take this opportunity to treat myself to a mostly expense-paid vacation. I am looking at renting a vehicle through Turo that will give me 2 days of fun to drive around and explore. A buddy of mine did something similar and he was incredibly impressed with the Angelas Crest Highway. I am having a difficult time deciding which car to rent. I daily drive a 2017 2SS now.

I have not done an exhaustive search, but this poll shows a few of the options that caught my eye. I'd like everyone's thoughts.

Any convertible, as it would be some nice scenic driving.

I also found an Audi R8 V10 convertible which seems like a really good price.

If you've got the money - go for the exotic one! I would get the car I know I'd never have a chance to own just to know what that kind of car is all about.

For now, I am thinking I should abandon this idea. It's not worth the risk if the conditions are not ideal. I may just have to enjoy myself in the company sponsored rental car.

I have been super into 911s lately and I've never driven one. I was leaning mostly towards the 911, but there aren't very many nice looking ones available on Turo. Most of them are also a bit overpriced and/or they come with low mileage allowance of around 200 miles. The Ferrari 488 is actually the best deal. It's a convertible, super reasonable price, and a lot of miles allowed.

My to do list takes me to Camarillo and Garden Grove. I'll stay close by for the time I need to be at those places, but for my free weekend I was going to try to stay closer to LA. I was going to stay in Thousand Oaks, but then I realized that is where the brunt of last year's fires were so I bailed from that. I know nothing about the area so I don't know if anything is more or less desirable.

The Ferrari 488 no doubt among those choices. Also, to get a taste of the competition, for a scenic drive, consider a new Mustang GT PP1 w/ Magneride or PP2 (either w/A10) which would be fun to compare to your SS. Gotta be at least an '18, though. Since you're not tracking it, the extra coolers aren't necessary

The trip was off, but now it's back on again! I am still monitoring the weather and I have not committed to anything yet. I am now leaning towards the 911 because I've been so curious about them lately. I've never driven one and I need to know what it's like. But, I've never driven a Ferrari either.
