Sorry to hear you're having this issue. It has happened a couple times with 2 people so far, but is curable. We don't know exactly why it happens, but generally remove, and reinstall fixes it.

I will send you an email.

Update: removed valve- piston was stuck in the pressed position. Removed valve from stock bypass valve and lubed using gun oil to all o rings(stock and jacfab o rings)and pushed the piston a lot of times to lube that as well, placed back on and got rid of cel, no limp mode, went wot a lot of times and drove for few miles, everything feeling good now!

Definitely recommend lubing it a bit more once you get it to avoid piston staying in pressed position

What did you use to grease it up?

Jason recommended a thin oil like gun oil, atf or sewing machine oil. I used gun oil from my glock, and seems to work well. Will keep driving and post if anything else comes up

Glad you got it working...

To anyone else that has been following along, I know that some of your have bought these and are waiting for spring time to put them on. It's probably a good idea to lube them up before installing since they will have been sitting for a while.

Is this something that should periodically be done after install as well?

Jason, any thoughts on machining the piston a few thou smaller in diameter to potentially reduce the likelihood of having to oil it? Or what about cutting in a small taper?

I don't think so. There generally seems to be enough oil mist, etc, in the intake tract to keep it lubricated once its on... I pulled one off here not long ago, i had been running it for about a month, and there was more lube on it than when I had put it on. If you do have to pull it off to oil it, it won't be very often.

It's not actually the piston itself that really needs the lube, but the oring on the piston inside the bore.

As the part isn't designed to be taken apart by the end user, you when you lube it you apply the lube onto the side of the piston on the top edge of the bore, let some lube slide into the bore, and work the piston in and out a few times to get the lube onto the oring.

Jacfab recirculator

Any estimated date for the “no tune” version?

Are u in it purely for the noise since you don't want a tune?

We don't have any kind of hard estimated date just yet. I have a current prototype on my car right now, and so far no check engine light. Need to do more driving, logging, etc still.

I actually have 2 (of the tune version) in stock right now. if you tried to order one and saw that they were sold out on the website, the inventory number was off. I have fixed it.

That said, another batch it in the works, not exactly sure when they will be ready. We are currently waiting on shipping materials (the nice foam box inserts), and one replacement tool for the lathe to be able to finish making the parts, and get them boxed up.
