Update: removed valve- piston was stuck in the pressed position. Removed valve from stock bypass valve and lubed using gun oil to all o rings(stock and jacfab o rings)and pushed the piston a lot of times to lube that as well, placed back on and got rid of cel, no limp mode, went wot a lot of times and drove for few miles, everything feeling good now!
Definitely recommend lubing it a bit more once you get it to avoid piston staying in pressed position |

What did you use to grease it up?

Jason recommended a thin oil like gun oil, atf or sewing machine oil. I used gun oil from my glock, and seems to work well. Will keep driving and post if anything else comes up

To anyone else that has been following along, I know that some of your have bought these and are waiting for spring time to put them on. It's probably a good idea to lube them up before installing since they will have been sitting for a while. |

Jason, any thoughts on machining the piston a few thou smaller in diameter to potentially reduce the likelihood of having to oil it? Or what about cutting in a small taper?

As the part isn't designed to be taken apart by the end user, you when you lube it you apply the lube onto the side of the piston on the top edge of the bore, let some lube slide into the bore, and work the piston in and out a few times to get the lube onto the oring. |

I actually have 2 (of the tune version) in stock right now. if you tried to order one and saw that they were sold out on the website, the inventory number was off. I have fixed it.
That said, another batch it in the works, not exactly sure when they will be ready. We are currently waiting on shipping materials (the nice foam box inserts), and one replacement tool for the lathe to be able to finish making the parts, and get them boxed up. |
