275/40/20 and 245/45/20 on stock wheels

Anybody running 275/40/20 in the rear and 245/45/20 in the front on their 6th gen SS?
I know these would be about an inch bigger in diameter, but that’s kind of what I’m looking for.
Lowered the car 1.1” on eibach springs and would like to close the gap a bit more by increasing the tire wall height and also to make up for loss in ride quality by running thicker tires.
Would also save on mileage since wheels would make less revolutions .
Searched the forum and nobody’s gone this route.
Would front rub on inside strut side?

Did you end up getting the bigger tires? I'm looking to do the exact same thing. It worked fine on another car I had. I'm pretty sure it'll be good on the camaro too

I would also like to run these sizes on stock suspension and wheels with an A/S tire. No one with any information on fitment?

Fitment shouldnt be a problem with stock height.

Mine is lowered with BMR, i think 45 profile will rub when going over bumps unless i give more agressive camber. Just my thoughts.

I'd be shocked to learn that these fit on the front. I went up to a 255/40R20 in the front which is only 0.3" taller in diameter, and it's pretty tight up top on the strut. From just a quick peak at a sample tire, going from a 245/40R20 to a 245/45R20 is going to increase the diameter 1 inch. That's an extra half inch up top... I just don't think there is that much clearance in the front.

I agree, if it DID fit it would fill out some of the gap... I'm just not optimistic that it would fit.

(I've got mag ride, not sure if that makes a difference).

Got in there for a real close look last night, I really don't think another half inch up top will clear the strut up front without spacing the wheel out. Kinda sucks.

taller tires

As I replied to the same question in another thread I saw a 2017 2lt convertible that the dealer had installed the 2ss wheels front and back with 245/45 x 20 and 275/40 x 20 and this was a brand new car. The sales manager said the only issue was that the speedo would be out a bit. This car has been sold so I can't go and take another look but I will see if I can get more info. I don't think the car had magnetic ride.

Could not get any info as the car had been sold. I did some more checking on my own car and decided that I would not risk putting taller tires on. Going with Michelin pilot sport a/s 3+ tires. 245/40 x 20 on front and 285/35 x 20 in the rear. My new rims are 8.5" in front and 10" in the rear hence the little bit wider tire. My car is parked for winter but come spring I will make the change. I will have my stock rims and tires for sale at that time.

I run 245/45/20 up front and it only rubs if I turn the wheel all the way to the left while making a U-turn. Looks way better in my opinion.

That sounds interesting. Makes me think of changing back to 245/40 x 20. Would you be able to take some pictures? I thought for sure the taller tire would touch the strut.

Yah I have 40 in the rear (for now). How do I upload pics? The front fills up the wheel well perfectly. The rear has fender gap. I plan on doing 305/45/17 drag radials, so that gap will be gone as well.
