cast wheels on a ZL1 are not a good idea.

I should have bought a ZL1

17" wheels won't fit over the ZL1 brakes. For most wheel barrel designs, 19" wheels are the minimum diameter.
There's also the questions of bolt pattern, hub bore, and offset. F-bodies use Imperial bolt patterns, whereas the Alpha platform uses metric. The result is a close but not exact match. 5x4.75" vs 5x120mm

yes they are cast aluminum. you want forged aluminum. not flow forged. flow forged is just a name to trick you into thinking they are forged like their name forgestar. they only make cast not forged.

Also just because it is a ZL1 doesnt mean it has to use a forged wheel. Plenty of GM vehicles making the power the ZL1 does and come with cast wheels from the factory. Most of the Corvette wheels are cast until you opt for the forged wheels. I will trust my HRE FF01 and FF04 wheels just as much as I trusted the stock 1LE wheels.

What you really want is a wheel that is JWL and VIA tested and certified. The construction method is only one piece of the puzzle and hardly the sole decision maker. You can buy poor design and quality forged wheels, just like you can buy high quality cast wheels.
