The problem is if GM did come out with a mid sized V8 rwd sedan and offered it with a manual they would probably do something stupid like make it fully, fully loaded and limited production and then overprice it and wonder why it's not selling.

Keep it simple, offer 3 trim levels (base, mid, and fully loaded) offer either an A10 or tr6060 manual and price it 29k +ttl to 40k and watch it fly off the shelves. Simplicity is the name here with a simple lt1 based engine. No lt4, no carbon bs, just a decent sedan so we can wipe the charger ( non hellcat) out of the ballpark. But hey what do I know?

If GM sold a slightly bigger ATS with the LT4 (edit: I meant LT1) I would trade my Camaro in ASAP. Sort of like my old CTS-V1... it was an amazing car, it just got old and GM learned A LOT since then.

I don't know why all the negative remarks, as long as it's not some "4 door coupe" abomination it'll be just as good but also practical. It doesn't have to replace the Camaro.

The SS was too big and heavy, it would never serve as a proper replacement for a 6th gen Camaro or M3 sedan. It was more like the new M5 boats, but the M5 demographic demands a luxury boating experience... a Chevy just can't provide that.

Ford killed all sedans and hatch back in market. I dont think thats going to happen.

But four door Camaro, no. They should have bring back SS with more manual at decent price.

I will like 4-door Camaro and Mustang, but I don't want to see it like Mercedes route.

Ford has no other sedan off of the Mustang so a "4 door Mustang" may make sense for them.
This ^ Not a 4 door camaro, but a V-8 sedaan would be a winner IMO.

This this this this this this

I had to get a new car last week, a little bit before I was ready because my Focus died and needed more repairs than it was worth. So I looked at Chevy and Ford and they didn't really have anything that I wanted. So I looked at the darkside from the Japanese makes. Ended up with a Mazda6 Grand touring. Back on point at end, they offer the car in 5 trim levels. Depending on what options you want, that decides what trim you get. There was no option packages, only options were little accessory things or premium paint. I think that is a smart way to offer cars, made finding what I wanted soooooo much easier

Seriously though, it's not going to happen and hasn't been talked about EVER by GM.

These silly posts really do make my day sometimes.
I’m sure happy you’re happy. But I can tell you for a fact that for years both Ford and Chevrolet have talked about making the Mustang and Camaro complete model lines with multiple body styles. Doing so may be the only way to keep these cars alive in the marketplace.

I love it! I would love to also see them build an SS SUV Camaro 4x4 complete with 21" off road knobby tires.

What is confirmed is Ford killing their sedan production...this is just click bait.

So no, there is ZERO need for a 4 door Camaro.
