thanks for the heads up... I don't have the Blind spot monitoring so I shouldn't have to worry... unless there is another feature tied into the fuse instead of the BSM.

I thought that, but in sport in my M6 they seem to close when I shift into 4th. The sound gets noticeably quieter unless I get on it - then it opens like it does in tour mode.

I like sport, little sound around town but quiet on the highway - but I also wonder about the longevity of the valves opening and closing so much.

Unless you pull the fuse, the valves will partially close up @ interstate speed, no matter what mode you are in

I thought I'd be putting it back in, as I did several months ago when I took it out for a few days. I don't even notice it now.

Pretty sure it's staying out.
what is the difference in sound with it out?

Overall it's louder without having to get heavy on the accelerator. Pulled it and never looked back!

Here's mine...I have an external speaker setup right next to the exhaust.

I make sure to run the fuse every once in a while, while heading in for oil changes. That way to ensure everything is still working as normal. 44k no issues.

Sunday morning drive in the Rockies

If you did this to your car could you post a video of the exhaust with some fly bys and start ups?
