But I think the regular V6 will do a pretty good job as well which is 10-15k cheaper than a RS. http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...e-specs-page-5 |

I agree it is a Focus..but the RS is being compared to the M of old in terms of driving feel. Yes, they are expensive for this price grade, all the more reason why usability and value matters. I just think the marginal extra cost of the RS is worth the awd, usable rear seats, and extra cargo space and versatility of a hatchback. Americans have traditionally shunned hatchbacks..but that trend is changing..if it has not already.
Yeah, I applaud the Mustang's graduation to IRS but it just can't ball in terms of performance these days. I'd like to buy American for my next car, and my eyes are on watch for the C8 if it will indeed be mid-engined. Quote:

It sounds petty...but personally, I can't stomach the look. And I can't give up proper RWD. |

...aaaaaand the Focus RS debate is over. More expensive car within a 10th of a second on a long course. (margin of error) Win V6 1LE

Ohh.... well, I stand corrected.
And, I'd bet the RS is behind the regular 1SS by about 3-4 seconds. I have to say, the SS V8 makes me look at the Camaro rear seats and say... thats plenny room. Last edited by juzefzoozoo; 12-09-2016 at 01:14 PM. |

Just as fast with "just" RWD, less power...and it looks better (IMO)...gets better fuel economy...and costs less. Way to go Chevy. |
