Does everyone have a problem with your touchscreens?

I'm looking for a touchscreen to get installed but in my car but I've been seeing a ton of ppl saying that they are having some problems with some of the systems. I'm tired of the stock radio and I'm ready to upgrade. Does anyone have one that has had no problems? Thanks

heard aftermarket systems can be tricky to install. Problems like steering wheel controls not working, bluetooth not working. I would love to have one but i don't trust anyone to install it and it work correctly.

Sad to hear that I want one bad. But I'm not willing to take a risk if I'm gonna have problems with it

I like the head unit in my 2014 SS, but I have Pioneer AVH-X5600BHS head units in two of my other cars, the Bluetooth and backup cameras are perfect. I did not want Navigation, so that is why I went with this head unit. I don't care for XM, too many cars and not paying the fees for all of them, so I didn't need it built-in. I honestly only use the USB stick, have not even bothered to use the DVD players once I used the USB stick!

Best bet is going with the stock Mylink. It's not perfect but other after market head units seem to have more problems then they are worth. I tried a combo of Kenwood/Scoshe and in addition to the display being unreadable in bright daylight, it also affected the TPMS. The screen space is smaller than the Mylink and even when glare isn't a problem, it is difficult to read because of the size of the graphics. Also the HVAC controls on Mylink are much easier to use, especially while driving. And the steering wheel controls do not always function with an aftermarket system. On the plus side, if you get Garmin navigation, it's appreciably better than the stock Mylink nav.

Funny, I've installed an After Market Stereo twice now, i've never had an issue with one.

This is mainly all 100% false, With mylink you'll spend...

850+ on the unit
200-300 on wiring
200-300 on reprogramming
50-150 to get it installed by a professional
It's nice, but aftermarket is better

500-1500 for a nice unit (go nex4000)
300 for Head unit dash kit
50-100 for install, comes with stereo wheel controls, depending on which nex you get it might come with gps.
Aftermarket units can be smaller or larger than mylink, you choose what to buy.

Echo he Gm5201ab, I've had two camaros now and each one had that kit. Only issue I've had on it is sometimes it'd chime if you started the car without the seat belt, just press the hazards and it'd go away so no big issue. With the new one I installed I have zero issues at all. I've done the install myself, with the schoche kit, you retain your steering wheel controls. It's built into the kit.

As for head unit, INE series by alpine is what o have Ine-w957hd, I get my electronics at no markup. If you're looking for a good one. Check the difference between the Pioneer NEX units.

So I have
schoche Gm5201ab
INE-w957hd

You should get
schoche GM5201ab
NEX pioneer head unit.
