Push rod engines make most of their tq in the low and mid ranges. DOHC engine just breath better at higher RPMs. Those Dual Over Cams keep all those valves opening and closing and breathing nicely. Of course the drawback is more parts and they are top heavy.

Yup. If we look at the SRT8 dynos as well, there's a similar dip in numbers after a point as well.

I actually tried explaining the different engine technologies to my "Know it all" mustang friend. The only thing he kept repeating was "YOU HAVE 1.2L MORE THAN ME. NO FAIR".
