The only surprise to me is that GM hadn't quit doing any business with that country years and years ago...

No one at GM had a clue or saw this coming? Everything was workable up til now?....I hope GM learns to open it's eyes and realize who they are dealing with before it turns into a disaster....

Maybe this is an opportunity for GM to move it's Venezuela operation to North Korea?...or is there a plant there already, perhaps through China?

What could go wrong?...Sheesh....wake up.....

Up until the economy bottomed out, GM was the dominant automaker in Venezuela. If I'm correct their market share was 90+% or something. That's why they held on as long as they did.

How long did they expect to stay employed disassembling the plant? or even building 8 vehicles a day for the year of '16?....Yeah, they were fired prematurely....lol...
