My interior door panels are off to do some work on them. I went to the car and tried to see if I could come up with a solution but not knowing how the exterior works I didn't want to fool around and put myself in the same situation. It should still function from what I can see. My guess is the door latch cord is undone behind the panel.

Can you re-install the exterior handle without the door being open?

Sorry if this comes off as obnoxious, but if he were able to do that, don’t you think he would have done it already?

OP, so I've been looking at the below thread and "maybe" have a solution. In pics 6 & 7 there seems to be the actual door lever. Maybe you can have someone hold/pull on that (my guess is there needs to be some resistance on the other end) while you try the inside door pull. Not sure if this is going to work but it's worth a try.

Is the problem that you can't budge the door because the window isn't rolling down that inch that it normally does? Is the window down? Sounds dumb, but I just thought I'd throw it out there.

Also, you can probably take the door panel off with the door closed if you take the seat out.

No need to be sorry.

I decided to look at the very thread myself to gain more knowledge of the situation.

A user in that very thread did the exact same thing. It should have a do not shut the door disclaimer on the DIY.

I've tried everything , I can crack the door panel bit with the door shut but even then it be tough to get it off since there is one bolt towards the front of the door blocked by the dash panel. I appreciate all the help , hopefully C5 can help figuring this out, before the dealer option.

No luck. Really hoping to find an answer soon. I might just start tearing off the panel lol.

At the dealer. Hopefully the pocket doesn't take a big hit.

Yeah had to pay up tho. The dealer got it opened. Turns the latch was stuck.
