We prefer the term Life and Death Check because depending on what bolt comes loose, it may be a matter of life and death. On a lift or jack stands, lay a wrench on every nut and bolt in the suspension and drive line. Give them each a couple of good grunts. Use a paint marker to draw a line on the nut to the non-movable surface so you can visually spot check them.

At every track event I have ever been too I see drivers religiously checking torque on their wheel lug nuts. Not a bad idea, but comical when they haven't checked a single nut or bolt under their 'race' car for weeks, months or years.

Updated, and "pretty-fied" schedule.

Please note - we're opening the gates a bit earlier to accommodate registrations and check-ins...cars have to be relatively quiet coming into the track. No revving, craziness, due to sound limits.

I got some bad news earlier today that my car will not be making the trip due to an unforeseen issue, so that means it will not be ready until maybe Friday at the earliest. So I'm scrambling to find an alternate for the fest or I may have to cancel, but I've got a few folks helping me find other options so all is not lost yet.

I'm trying not to panic and remain faithful that everything will work out in the end just as my wife always tells me.

Never having done this task before, please be more specific about the quantity of DOT 4 fluid the customer needs to provide. Liters? Quarts? 2 big bottles or 4 little bottles is a little vague to me. My local auto parts places do not seem to carry Castrol, so I assume any DOT 4 is acceptable? The brands that are available are:Lucas Synthetic (in ounces), Prestone (in ounces), Pentosin LV (in liters), & Pentosin Super (in liters). A Chevy mechanic friend said it should be 2 quarts / 64 ounces / almost 2 liters.
