zzp big brake kit

been talking to my buddys over at zzp for awhile and they just came out with a big brake kit pretty much similar kit to the gm 6 piston kit but uses different rotors/pads and calipers

oem gm kit retails for around $3000

zzp kit starts at $1350 so not a bad deal!

both kits are 6 piston rotors with 14.6" rotors

wutcha guys think i may get one on order !

My question is, will you need a new master cylinder? Is the volume of the 6 piston calipers more than the 4 piston calipers?

Just to reiterate, no different master cylinder is needed. I've been rocking these for months on my car (which had the base model single piston brakes) and they're absolutely phenomenal. If you, or anyone has any questions about the setup let me know.

If I wanted to get aftermarket track pads for these, is there an OEM pad I can reference? Is it the same pad size as the GM 6 piston pads?

what size front aftermarket 19- 20" wheels will fit the 14.6" brakes vs stock SS wheels (20x8.5 ET25?) Looks like ZZ's site shows an oem 20" wheel so I guess that answers the first question. Anyone know if a 20x9 et30 front wheel will clear the 14.6" setup?

Thanks

I don't see any potential issue running a 20x9 +30 wheel with these. There's plenty of clearance on the stock wheels (that you see on the website) and with my aftermarket wheels as well (which are 19x10 +20). I've even run down to an 18" wheel with them, but that was a Forgestar F14 drag pack wheel.

Yes they are CTS-V2 Calipers, so any pad that is for a 09-14 with the 6 piston calipers will fit. Sorry for the late reply on this.

There is not. Unfortunately we get them brand new and don't have the time or resources to offer custom colors. Pat Riley (I believe he's on here, don't have his username off hand) was the first customer to purchase these and had his re-coated red and added the Brembo sticker. They look pretty great.

Here's a couple more photos of them on my car.

Thanks! I don't have a Camaro yet, but just trying to figure out the wheel setup ahead of time.

Hey ZZP, think you can mimick the GM big brake kit for the 2014+ 1500 series trucks that the 2019 trucks are using?

How do you guys get around the different rotor hat offset to use the CTS-V/5th Gen ZL1 rotors?
