Dave's Race 2020 VIR Fundraiser for ALS
Hey guys and gals,
I'm participating in the second annual Dave's Race to raise awareness and donations for ALS research at Virginia International Raceway in June. It is a terrific event to participate as a driver or a spectator. Even if you aren't interested in donating, I'd appreciate your time to click the link below and learn more about ALS. My fund Raising "Team" Page (all donations go directly to ALS TDI) https://fundraise.als.net/fundraiser/weatherfordracing Event Page: https://fundraise.als.net/davesrace Please join me in helping fund research for the cure for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease. Two years ago, I wasn't aware of ALS and what a debilitating disease it is. I met David and Scott Lloyd through a mutual friend at a track event. I raced with them several times and didn’t realize Dave had unfortunately been diagnosed with ALS. We’ve had a great time together at multiple tracks, and I saw Dave take a podium finish at a SCCA Time Trial competitive event! I participated in the first “Dave’s Race” in 2019. I can’t wait to participate in the 2020 event with my good friends and meet other supporters! I saw this last year, but had another event the same weekend. I'll try and make at least the parade laps. Don't think I have enough experience to do open lapping anyway.

There is a cool video on Amazon if you have prime on the history of VIR. It's episode 4 of Dinner with Racers.
