Congrats Randy!! Keep it up bud. I need to follow suit and do the same again. I've quit twice for a total of 2 years but like an idiot started back. :(

When you need a little extra help to stay away from the cigs, just think of your children, and hopefully that will make a difference. Congratulations and good luck!

Nice job Randy, keep on trucking man!

I smoked from 17-30. 32 now. quitting was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but I've been cigarette free since November 11th 2008. Veterans day. I don't think I'll ever forget that date.

Occasionally I partake in a cigar, but that is the extent of my tobacco use these days. I'm just glad I'm not addicted anymore. I think that was what bothered me the most about smoking cigarettes. That feeling that you "gotta have it" or your just "gonna go nuts".

Stay strong brother, you're well on your way.

Congrats!

You know, if you were smoking manually....you'd be able to quit faster!?!

Seriously though, though I've never smoked, I've been around enough people to know what a challenge it is.

Back in 1981, for a graduation gift, I went on a canoeing trip in the 1000's lakes area of Minnesota/Canada. I went with 6 people, and we were not allowed to bring cigarettes into the area. One of the people was a heavy smoker and had to go cold-turkey.

On day 3, I was steering in the back of the canoe and this guy was up front. He had a nic-fit of epic proproportions. He ended up paddling across the lake at full speed, practically planing the canoe while I ended up just steering and watching him in amazement. After about 8-10 minutes of this, he ended up collapsing in fatigue and couldn't do anything the rest of the day.

Good work but gotta member its not the tobacco your craving [that iwll help to stop smoking cig's], but the 999 deadly chemicals they add to make it 1000x more addictive.

Never smoke anything that has been messed with by a guy in a lab, it should be pick right off the plant, dried and smoked. Which man had done since the dawn of time.
