Speakers

I thought I read where Bose speakers were being used now? Hopefully GM is finally trashing those crappy Boston acoustics in its 40,000 dollar cars

Depending on what's actually behind the grill, Bose could be a step up or down from "crappy" BA.

Better off sticking some Focal's or Hertz's in there with a good amp or two.

I was half kidding... Focal and Hertz are reference level speakers. Very high quality, some well over $400-500 / pair.

I used JBL GTO series in my Mustang when I replaced all 4 speakers, swapped out to Kicker 8" subs, too. I'd also not have issue recommending Polk DB and Infinity Reference speakers. Pioneer A series have great sound for a pretty low price.

2 mids on the doors, 2 tweeters on the doors, 2 on the back dash, 2 by the rear seats and one on the front dash. That's what the 5th gens have anyway.

I used to use Pioneer's car speakers, head units, and Equalizers years ago, awesome products. They still make some awesome stuff to this day. I am just sad that they left the Plasma/TV business, nothing to this day beats my Kuro!

Nothing better in a dark-ish room than a nice plasma TV

I have a couple Pana V series Viera's I got for a song when they announced they were getting out of plasma, too, and I love them. Kuro's are definitely the top shelf, I just didn't have the scratch back then.

Helped my kid put in a Pioneer BT head and 4 A series speakers into his 04 Monte Carlo. He was in heaven, and it was fun to show him how easy that stuff is. It's harder to take the car apart, than it is to swap out this stuff.

Plasma is the best technology out there, Kuros are awesome! I got an awesome deal on one at the very end, so glad I did.

Agreed, I've got a Viera too. Hated that plasmas have fell out of the industry.

I've been wanting to give the Audison Voce and Hertz HSK XL a try, but I never wanted to take my current car apart know that it wouldn't be long before I got rid of it.

I would love to try the Mille, but I'm not sure I feel like doing quite that much splurging.
