TSB 18355: Repaint Lower Rocker
So, I figured to circle back to this thread and end this with official word via GM on the 1LE satin/low-gloss black paint...
GM published TSB 18355: Service Update Bulletin - Repaint Lower Rocker (Customer Approval Required) - (Nov 16, 2018) The paint used is W0848 (or WA848 or WA08484) and is than sprayed with a low-gloss clear. |

Howdy all, just registered as I am in the process of getting a 1LE. Unfortunately it appears to have the gloss rocker issue and I have confirmed they notated the 18355 TSB, it has been at the dealership since 10/28/18. I have not seen the car in person yet.
My question is, has anyone had this repaint performed by a dealership and been happy with the results? Or did it look okay with the gloss parts that don't match the rest of the ground effects? Do the parts come from the factory in the correct matte color? Would it be better to just try and get new factory parts installed it so? Thanks! |

So the whole car is a WA8555 paint which is GM JetBlack. They front splitter rear dove tail and mirrors all have a Satin Clear or Semi Gloss.
