Signature Issues???

When I create my signature and preview it nothing is wrong, but when I see it in the forum all I see is the SIGPIC???

This is what the "preview" shows me in the user CP

Does your signature look like this in USERCP?

Quote:
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Text
Text
If you miss the /sigpic code it usually doesn't show up right.

And did you host it outside, or upload it using the USERCP settings at the bottom of that page? I've found uploading works better than linking to a hosted image.

And keep in mind the size limit: "Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 700 by 200 pixels or 146.5 KB (whichever is smaller)."

Probably using up too much vertical real estate with your pic

I think the signature block is limited to 200 pixels vertically. So if you upload a photo that is resized down to 200, and have the SIGPIC code on the top, then the pic is all that will show up.

I understand limiting the PIC size, but the entire sig seems to be limited to 200 pixels vertically.

Correct. The entire signature area, picture + text, is limited.

Some people put their entire life history into their signature, or make giant ASCII drawings or whatever in their sigs. This gets very annoying and distracting for discussions. Restricting the total signature size prevents this.
