Shock paint
Since shock is discontinued has anyone had experience with painting to shock through a body shop?

And usually a repaint in a different color devalues the car/truck especially a late model.

i thought about painting my 16 ss rally green when i got hit by a semi truck back in may lol 9k repairs to fix it and they wanted an extra 10k to paint the rest i said hard pass...

Many body shops will not even consider an all over paint job today.
It's getting to the point, you have to find a specialist willing to do a complete all over job or a total color change. |

oh yea that extra 10k was no engine bay but included door jams and trunk haha so car would have been green with a gray engine bay haha

Why would you even want/consider doing this? Such a waste. Just wrap the dang thing if that color really means that much to you

Buy a used car in the color that you want as others have said. I couldn't even imagine how much a body shop would charge you to completely tear down a car and paint the entire thing. If you are like me, I could never live with the outside being one color and any other part of the car being another. Trunk, Engine Bay... etc... No way....

I have a shock SS 1LE and I'm not sure how well it will match.
I bought a hot wheels Camaro and painted it with shock touchup. Depending on the light, it doesn't look right. I even tried a white base coat and still not right. I can't imagine doing an entire car  I'd just wrap it. |

I overpaid to get a pre-owned 2021 Shock 2SS M6 Convertible .. but it was only one for sale in the entire country. I did get a great price on my trade in. Dealer pulled up Black book .. he gave me Black book for my trade and also sold me the Camaro for current Black Book. Cars are now like the Housuing market ... you can sell high .. but then you also have to buy high ...
I don't think you would be happy with a re-paint .. just buy used ... |

There's a 2021 Shock Convertible still available in Baton Rouge, LA. They called me about it two days ago. Auto, Dual Mode, Recarro Seats, Black Camaro Logo. Was sticker price. Fly down and pick it up. Lot better option than a repaint.
