Daily driver: Hellcat Challenger vs Camaro 2SS

Hi guys. Let's pretend that purchase price is no object for a minute. Which car makes the better option for driving daily...?

I have not driven a Challenger, but I had a 5th Gen Camaro which was a great car, but the size of it was a major turn off for me.
I think the size (dimensions) and wheel base of the 6th Gen Camaro are awesome.
it's great for whipping around corners and just driving in general.
I have the MRC so putting it in Tour mode if you want a bit of a softer ride is nice.

Camaro is my choice...

you are on the Camaro6 forum, so you know the Camaro may be a majority of the answers

I don't like the challengers profile. But they look awesome from the front/back

Hellcat vs SS. The hellcat for sure.
Hellcat vs zl1.
I think the zl1... It's hard to tell. U need to drive them, see in person and stuff.

I wouldn't say either, honestly.

The Hellcat is waaaay over powered for a normal DD, and the Camaro is too cramped and small.

I'd say a Scat Pack Challenger or Charger is the ideal DD...485HP, roomy, comfortable, stable and plenty of room for daily life.

if you're pouring on the miles go without a supercharger. unless you want to allocate the extra money for the big supercharger maintenance interval...whatever it is these days...75k, 100k, 150k

the hellcat is pretty sweet

^ how do you even option up a 2SS Convertible to $73k, that one doesn't even have the ground effect package which is $3,000.

So someone at my work has been daily driving their Hellcat Challenger. I was like "Awesome!! Someone is DDing their Hellcat. Didn't think I would see that, but it's nice to see."

Then a few days later, he drove in a Viper ACR. Now I know why he daily drives the Hellcat!!!

Must be nice....

I think one thing people are forgetting is you are in the UK. Aside from the huge difference in fuel costs between the two (will probably be a car payment in itself), is the size of most roads/parking over there. I mean the SS is a Honda compared to the Hellcat's fuel consumption.

Now the Camaro is already wide, but the Challenger or Charger are both noticeably bigger in all dimensions. To me, in the UK that would be a big obstacle to DDing. Add to that, there is little chance you can see over the hood/fenders in the Dodges. Which is the one thing people forget, parking the Dodges is a PITA and the Camaro is already not easy to park. A lot of people back into spots, but again I see that being a bigger problem over in the UK.

So Jimtasteek, you know how your local situation is. I'd test drive the Camaro and see if you can handle it's size with ease or if it causes you trouble. If it causes trouble, it will be magnified with the Dodges....and that will be your answer to which is a better DD (aside from fuel costs).
