My rear deck speakers are rattling now as well.
Did the tape help at all? I was thinking about trying some dynamat.

And by "designed specification range" they mean really poorly engineered...
I was able to shim the gap with some plastic to stop my rattle. Not the best looking, but at least I can drive the car without going absolutely insane. |

I had this rattle. Its been fixed now.

Go to the hardware store and get some closed cell foam (weatherstripping). It comes in a roll for a couple bucks. Putting that between the speakers and the rear deck should stop the issue.

I just had this panel replaced by the dealer Saturday (thanks to following this video). Seems to have fixed my bass rattle when listening to music. Very happy.
