Thanks a lot, Sledgehammer70!

There's one thing I want to do and it's just cosmetic. Mishimoto includes good quality hose clamps, but they're nickel/chrome plated. I think I want to find some hose clamps with a black finish, at least for the clamps right at the CC. The ones at the intake aren't visible.
Tara, I agree with you on the clamps. Since I just ordered mine, I need to know the size of the clamps so I can look for some black ones.

Thanks for the video Sledgehammer. It was helpful. Nice to have my replacement car so I can start with some mods.
Like some others I'm going to try and find some black clamps

So for the ones who have purchased and installed it what do you think of its performance so far? I am still trying to decide if I want to jump or wait for other companies to release one. If I do I will use a clamp like this!

The catch can does not require any servicing before installation. The only task will be to open up the can and remove the nylon fittings for the hose connections. Otherwise it is a bolt-on affair. Let me know if I can answer any questions.

That should look quite nice! The OD of the included hoses is noted below.

Catch Can Connection: 21mm
Quick-Connect: 17mm

Hope that helps!

Thanks

Has anyone noticed the odor that the catch can hoses put out? I park inside an attached garage and ever since I installed the catch can, there has been this strong smell in the garage. It is a combination of rubber and/or oil smell. I removed the catch can and hoses to test out this theory.

I installed mine and no smell. What color are your hoses?

Sounds a bit unusual! Have you noticed any fluid seeping from the catch can or hose connections?

Update for installing on a Convertible, you have to remove the Tower strut support since one of the bolts for the catch can is a strut bolt. I was amazed the strut bolts were so easy to take out.

It's been about three weeks since I removed the catch can and hoses. The smell has gone away. I put the hoses and catch can in my other detached garage and smelled the hoses yesterday. The odor is still strong. Has anyone else noticed this? Do the red blue hoses smell? The odor is a very strong rubber smell.

Be sure to go back in after a few heat cycles to see if the nipples are still tight in the can. I guess the Nylon contracts after being heated, because mine started off tight but were very loose when I checked. Several other people noticed the same thing.

Just pop the hoses off and tighten them up with a 17mm wrench. It only takes a few minutes.

Same thing happened to me. I thought that caused the odor I was smelling. I tightened the fittlings but the car still stunk. I have to get different hoses before I reinstall.

I felt the screw band clamps brought down an otherwise high end looking product so I used oetiker crimp hose clamps. I also used ninja black thread tape to seal the taper fittings.

I used 18.5 mm and 21 mm clamps but the 21 mm was tight getting over the hose. A slightly larger size would be easier.
