How long will Camaro last (mileage wise)

I plan on keeping my 2014 Camaro that I just bought forever. I was curious and wanted to know what's the highest mileage someone has gotten their Camaro up to ? I'm assuming If I keep up with the regular maintenance and wash/ cleaning. Then the car should last for a very long time

Hopfully it isn't like trucks these days. The mechanicals far outlast the frame rust and body rust.

It ALL depends on how well YOU take care of the car. If you don't, it won't last.

Well our G8 brothers have had more experience with longevity, and the last that I heard was a G8 a couple of years ago had put 289,000 on the ticker before calling it. This was in 2012-early 2013 on an 09. So I would say it is safe to say that these things will hold up for quite a while.

A few people mentioned 400-500k on these engines before major parts start to fail (Corvette's), the last time I asked. The car its self tho will probably start having issues earlier than that - but could easily be fixed unless there's frame damage or something.

I had a rocker on cylinder 3 fail on me at 83k, so that 400-500k estimate may be high...

If the car doesn't get wrecked, it will last as long as you are willing to fix it. You'd be surprised in how much mileage one could get from a car with proper care.

We had a member with 190,000 on his V6, on a new set of timing chains, then he gave it to his son and I lost contact.

I have never seen a rocker arm failure on an LS engine in the 8 years I have been working for GM. I would say that is a very strange failure and certainly not a common one. I have replaced quite a few cams and lifters, and a few valve springs, and a couple engines for dropped valves however. The general owner "maintenance" program, ie. changing oil when the light tells them and nothing more, I regularly see transmission failures before engines. Most LS equipped vehicles I have worked on over the years that end up having major repairs aren't engine related at all. I would have rather had and auto Camaro because I am lazy but I am absolutely not a fan of the L99 camshaft setup and the high possibility of cam failure and I am also not a fan of Auto transmission reliability (I'm the transmission tech) that I bought a MTX Camaro because of the LS3. I don't want to work on my own cars lol. Having said all that, I see 200k+ trucks regularly with no engine failure. I would speculate that 400K with good maintenance and a close eye on it, might be the upper limit of the engine life before it gets sluggish and just plain worn out.
