OK, how about:
"They're not meant to reduce your core body temperature, only to ventilate your skin and aid in the evaporation of moisture from your skin"? |

They are there to frustrate me in this car...the ventilated seats in my Avalon would freeze me out if I left them on full blast. I can hardly feel the ones in my Camaro. One of the disappointments I have with this car :(

True enough, but the fact remains that it's just blowing unconditioned air at your backside through tiny perforations. If this evaporates moisture and cools you off, great! But some people seem to expect these things to give you frostbite, and it's not gonna happen.

I haven't even tried mine yet. Judging from this thread, I guess I should not expect an arctic freeze from them. That's too bad. Cause, I really enjoyed the heated steering wheel and heated seats this past winter up here in C-town.

I noticed that I didn't feel anything after they were sitting in the sun all day. Other times when the car wasn't so hot I felt them. (When you don't need them).

So I have been following this thread. I have a 2SS Vert. I went for a ride this afternoon and did a small test of the "Cooling Seats". It was 87 degrees and I drove with the top down. I traveled back and forth about 20 Mi. 10 each each direction. the first 10 miles I left the seats off. within a short period of time I could tell my back was hot and sweating. Parked in doors. Drove back with the seats on could absolutely tell there was a difference my back wasn't hot and not sweating.
Sure it wasn't ice cold but there certainly was a difference enough so that ai will continue to use the seats. To each there own but for me they are a great help on a warm/hot day. JMHO
