surprising you've had such good luck with conventional oil every 10k.... with high mileage I'd start using a semi synthetic at least and move your changes to 7,500 or 5,000



I'm sure I'll get the "well it's worked thus far" replies, but manufacturers even recommend this. just food for thought....

Full synthetic every 10k. I only add conventional with less than 5k to the next oil change. Figure the viscosity will last for 5k or less. Motor does use up some oil.
