leaking diff

just had my 17 1ss up on the lift changing out the brake pads to the power stop z26 units and painted the calipers . and while it was up there i noticed the front seal on the diff has given out . fluid running down the diff and sprayed on the exhaust and under carage of the car . i just had it on the lift about a month in a half ago installing the front end splitter , it was all good then ! 7200 miles (M6) just went through the 8 pages of driveline subjects and no one mentioned this can I be the first ? heading off on a trip with the bike will try to put up pics when I return

Same thing for me today. The oil spray pattern is identical. It is coming from the front of the diff. I changed the diff fluid at 1500 and had the Chev dealer change it at 11200. At 15000 now and .... What did you discover as far as the problem and what was the solution? James
