Should the front license plate be removed before track use?

Title explains it. I believe it doesn't hinder the cooling for everyday use but I am mainly worried about the cooling for track use for both circuit and drag. Any thoughts?

Front plate and rain deflector should both be removed before tracking

The front plate with the bracket or just the plate? And does this also apply to drag racing?

Bracket as well, for drag racing I don’t see it helping with cooling as mush as road corse

I think it depends on how hot it is. I tracked my car in September and left everything on. No cooling problems.

Does not sound like a bad idea. Think I've read that on the 5th Gen Z28, the 'flow-tie' dropped coolant temps by a couple degrees or so. That is a much smaller area (the center of the bowtie) than the license plate and bracket take up too.

According to the High Performance Supplement, it is only suggested to remove the front plate and bracket for the ZL1 and ZL1 1LE.

Why on earth would you ever put a front plate on any camaro...lol
I've only gotten 1 warning in 20 years.
It ruins the good looks of our awesome cars.
But yes, it does affect airflow through radiator somewhat
