Do things change with the SS 1LE / Non 1LE models, my 2020 non 1LE has the rear camera, but if I'm not mistaken it is supposed to be standard on the 2SS model. Is that correct?

My camera is located at the top of the roofline in the back.

I solved the mystery on the rear mirror camera after researching the RPO codes 2019 -2021. I will post a follow up video in a couple days.

I had a Z07 optioned Z06 back in 2016. Never had any intentions of doing anything with it but street driving... Plus it was a convertible. Go figure. I lived in Florida and didn't have any issues with the suspension. Now, I went with the regular ZL1 with no desire for a 1le. Michigan roads and a 1le? No bueno...

I need to make a "this is fine" picture with the dog driving a race-spec car on the highway.

I watched…and listened to the video comparison.
I am ZL1 envious…..I want one, as much for the appearance as the performance.
I swear, during the test drive, the ride was so rough in the ZLE that he broke a tooth and hurt his back….
The performance in a straight line in a ZLE isn’t as good, and the big ass rear spoiler shoots “look at me” unless you are at the track.
Tires? 5,000 miles on the ZLE tires?!?! Holy crap! Just buy another set the guy says…I literally just spent 7k and need more tires already?. LOL. It is a track set up, meant for the track…. Not for even driving home from the track.. IMHO
But holy crap….give me the SC whine at 6,000 RPM in a ZL1 any day…..and it looks fantastic too.

Yeah, the ZL1 is pretty good and even better with some upgrades and 150-200 extra hp that turns it into a vicious snarling beast.

My favorite part of ZL1 owners are clowns with car seats in the back for their kids but then again we all have different priorities

The ZL1 v. ZLE issue has been debated more than Trump/Russia collusion. In summary, the ZLE is much quicker around the track, a 1/10 or 2/10 slower at the strip, and perhaps a little rougher on the street.

I drive mine daily. Tire wear around town is comparable to the ZL1s my buddies drive. It's a track and strip car easily drivable on the street.

Sadly test drives aren't really an option in most instances, and maybe thats why this question gets asked so often.

Tolerance to NVH and suspension preferences are completely subjective. Make the choice that aligns with your NVH tolerance and suspension feel preferences, or you're just going to have buyer's remorse regardless which version you buy.

I am too sensitive to road NVH to drive a ZLE on Houston roads, and I really like the mag-ride technology with its ability to adjust the stiffness of the suspension with the push of a button. I look forward to that feature to help me transition from awful city roads to smooth highways and overpasses. I won't track the car much either, 99% street miles.

Clearly the Base ZL1 is the right car for someone like me, and I dont need a test drive to know it. If I still lived in Dallas, with their wonderful roads, maybe I would be buying a ZLE instead.

We have such nice roads around here, I guess I rarely consider this aspect

Jesus christ. Dallas is even worse than most of our stuff in Alaska. Giant pieces of road missing, holes, crazy stuff. Even highways are crazy rough where they are doing never-ending construction (10 years and counting).
