For Those With Orders Placed:

For those who have orders placed, and are farther than status code 2000, what does the Chevrolet virtual assistant say when you enter your order code to the chat on Chevrolet.com? (I normally have to enter the phrase "order code status" twice and then it asks for the order code). https://www.chevrolet.com/

I am trying to build a chart so that the general population can avoid having to constantly contact their dealer, yet still understand the relation to the codes.

1100 - Order Placed at Dealer - Virtual Assistant "Your order has been submitted by your dealer but has not officially been accepted by GM at this time."
2000 - Order Accepted by Chevrolet - Virtual Assistant "Your vehicle order has been accepted by General Motors and is moving toward the production process."
2500 - Order Preferenced - Virtual Assistant ""
3000 - Order Accepted by Production Control - Virtual Assistant "Your vehicle order has been accepted by General Motors and is moving toward the production process."
3100 - Order Available to Sequence - Virtual Assistant ""
3300 - Order Selected for Production - Virtual Assistant ""
3400 - Order Broadcasted for Production - Virtual Assistant "Your vehicle order has been accepted by General Motors and is moving toward the production process."
3800 - Vehicle Produced - Virtual Assistant "Congratulations! Your vehicle has been produced. It is important to know that shipping arrangements will take place next and your selling dealer is the best source for additional detail on that process."
4000 - Vehicle Available to Ship - Virtual Assistant ""
4150 - Vehicle Invoiced to Dealer - Virtual Assistant ""
4200 - Vehicle Shipped - Virtual Assistant "Congratulations! Your vehicle has been produced. It is important to know that shipping arrangements will take place next and your selling dealer is the best source for additional detail on that process."
5000 - Vehicle Delivered to Dealer - Virtual Assistant ""
6000 - Vehicle Delivered to Customer - Virtual Assistant ""

That was nearly my identical experience with the chat bot, it was accepted and nothing of substance until vehicle has been produced. You have to get a live agent to try and get anything other intel out of Chevy, these Chevy guys checking in the order status thread are the real hero's.

Its really a bummer that they dont show the nuanced steps until it has been produced. I have heard from another thread here that you can have a live agent create an email notification for you, tied to your order number, that will provide a weekly status update, including the code.

The prompt looks like this:"Here is the current status for your order:

Your vehicle order is now at event code 2030. It is now accepted by Chevrolet and is now waiting in line towards the scheduled production process. At this time, there is no Scheduled Target Production Week. There are several factors affecting timing of production. Some variables that may affect timing include: Availability of Vehicle Options, Transport Distance, and Production Sequencing (Order of Build). Because of these factors, we are unable to provide specific information as to how long a vehicle can be build, you can also keep in touch with your selling dealership to get their perspective regarding this matter, they have the most up-to-date information available for you.

We will send you another update next 12/26/2022"

I have a 2023 Colorado order in at status 3000 the last time I checked.

Yep, the chat bot is total garbage. My production week is this week actually, which I found out yesterday, and the chat bot still says its "moving towards the production process" instead of something more exact.

At least you know that as soon as it hits 3800 and the vehicle produced the message will change! You can check hourly without having to contact your dealer.
