1. Can a dealer deactivate valet mode?
2. If they can, can they put it back on without you knowing? I suspect not since they don't know the PIN you used, but just making sure.

I believe they can reset the computer which would deactivate valet mode and clear any pin numbers. But, you would definitely know because your pin would have to be reset. The only reason I say this is because they would have to have a way to do that on used cars. But it would go back to factory defaults and you would notice if they did that.

On the topic of Valet mode, what exactly does it do? To my knowledge, it only cuts off the infotainment system and blocks access to opening the trunk.
