Is there anyone that can get me a stencil of the 4 bolt holes and the tow hook mount on the impact bar? I'm pretty sure I can make a simple drop bracket out of a length of steel to capture the factory mounting holes and relocate the tow hook to the lower grill.

Made Tow Hook Mount for LT1

Over the weekend we removed all the shielding on our LT1 car to see where or if it was capable of installing a tow hook. As mentioned the factory receiver is covered by the LT1 bumper due to the smaller grill. We ended up using the plasma table and some welding to come up with a bracket that looks like it will work and is not over difficult to install. We are going to do a second version with some changes and then powder coat it (current one is painted). The photo below shows the 1st bracket we came up with, dont pay attention to the crappy notching of the plastic bumper filler, I am going to clean it up once I get t exactly where we want it.

I wonder if the chinese will make a ZL1 grill for the lower models.
I did this on my c7 z51. Holes were there and they made a Z06
Grill that popped in for $100.
