I figured out several weeks ago that I wasn't going to get an allocation for a 24, so I found a ZL1 at a dealership and bought it. Couldn't be happier with making the move.

I did the same last month. Saved quite a bit of money also. No 24 price increase or dealer markup.

Congratulations! Yep and no 24 price increase. And both of our ZL1s are Summit White.

Congratulations on the smart move. I wasn't sure when I found the 23 but knew I had to act fast. That move is looking better every day.

Well I did not get my ‘24 Summit White ZL1/M6 order allocated. So it paid off doing the inventory search a couple weeks ago and putting a deposit down on one “In Transit” to UT. So I am the new owner of a 2024 Black ZL1/M6, PDR, CF Hood Insert, Red Seat Belts. I’ll fly out hopefully on the 1st and have the carrier there to load (enclosed) and bring to my house here in CA. I can’t thank Doug Smith Chevrolet enough in Spanish Fork, UT. They have been so helpful and sell price is MSRP no markup or add Ons. Car should be on their lot tomorrow or Monday from the rail yard in SLC.

Congratulations! Sorry you didn't get the Summit White one. But at this point just being able to purchase a manual ZL1 without a sunroof is a win.

I recall reading in one of your previous posts that the dealership in UT wouldn't allow you to have a carrier pick up the car from the dealership. They instead want you to pick it up and transfer it to a carrier. That's very odd. I've purchased three cars from out of state dealerships without seeing the car in person and had them shipped to me, including the ZL1 I purchased a couple of weeks ago. All those dealerships were accommodating in the process. Having to travel there and back and pay a carrier to move the car certainly adds to the cost and if it was me would piss me off.

Hello from Aussie, where we could only buy a new ZL1 briefly a few years ago, when 350 or so were imported & converted to RHD by the Walkinshaw Group in conjunction with GM.
Still contemplating buying one of these!
So, could you tell me, what is the difference between a '23 or '24 ZL1, and indeed what would be the difference between the aforementioned '19 models that were imported/converted in Aussie to the 23-24 versions?
In closing, just let me say that my personal opinion is that the Gen 6 ZL1 is probably the last of the true American "Muscle Cars".
Pickles.

No one of the guys was wrong. I set up shipping but I do not have to be there. I will fly out and take delivery of keys and walk the car and check it all out. They will store it and when shipper comes they will load. I want to go up anyways and check it all out. I have so many miles it is free for me to fly anyways. I have a good connection with shipping. It will be $800 for enclosed carrier. I’ll pay the extra for it to go inside. As for the Summit White I’m actually excited about the black. It will get an Xpel package and Ceramic Coating right away. I don’t drive it daily and it will never see rain and it is parked in the garage so it will be just fine.

Well I'm glad to hear it's not the dealership. I get wanting to go see the car. Especially if you can fly for free. I've always done enclosed shipping with the cars I've purchased and had shipped. Definitely the way to go. Don't know how far away the UT dealership is from you, but $800 sounds like a good deal.
