Stock Exhaust Heat Shield/Wrap for Aftermarket Exhaust
I finally decided on the Stainless Works cat back exhaust for my car. I originally ordered the axle back but switched at the last minute to the cat back. I can easily swap out if I have a warranty issue because I will just keep the stock exhaust.
That being said, I know there is a heat "wrap" on the stock exhaust just behind the 2nd cats (I believe). Has anyone purchased some type of heat wrap or shield that would provide the same type of protection and can be placed on an aftermarket exhaust? I dont believe the "stick on" heat barriers are designed to be placed on the exhaust directly. Has anyone done something like this? |

I would not worry too much. I personally dont recall anyone retrofitting heat wrap in this area.
