I bought my '19 A10 SS last week. while I was driving it from dealer to home I used manual mode, did some hard pulls and held left gear selector down several times for hard down shifts. Trip was like 150 miles and when I parked the car I also smelled that strange burning smell. I thought it was because the car was new. After a week and 300 miles there is still a little bit of a smell but not like the first day.

My 18 SS occasionally has a strange smell for a few minutes, then its gone.

This may sound crazy, but I wouldn't worry too much about it given how new the car is. Put on some more miles, then if it doesn't subside, or gets worse, take it in.

In the meantime, you can do a quick look over the engine bay to be sure none of the wiring harnesses are rubbing anywhere or against any moving parts.

When I drive my SS hard, I get some smells too that subside quickly. I check around the engine bay and keep on eye on my fluid levels as a habit.

Exactly. I am not really worried. It is a new car and stuff like this is probably normal. However I have some wind noise coming inside with highway speeds. I am going to have that checked when I take the car in for first oil change.

Don't want to hijack this thread, check https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=460078 to see if a side mirror might be the cause.

Thank you very much! I knew there would probably a thread about it but didn't get a chance to search.

So it seems like the side mirrors are likely the culprit. However I thought it was coming from like windshield or something. Did wind noise in your car come from like one source or sounded like surrounded?

Listen more closely to where it's coming from, the windshield itself is extremely unlikely. In my case the source was clearly the driver side mirror, which I managed to mitigate by tucking the wire harness away inside the mirror body.

This was on the previous V6 I owned, the 2SS I have now is perfect, no hissing noise at all (whew). Also, as stated in the thread, some managed to fix it by removing and reattaching the mirror.

Yes, I have the wind noise as well. Mine only occurs between speeds of 55 to 60 mph and when the window is up. It's on my low priority list. LOL! Amazing how many small issues the 6th generation has!

Like every other car and SUV I have been in, literally, except maybe for the A8 shudder. Most people simply don't care and move on, apparently we're quite a picky bunch for the $30-60K price range

The sound always felt like coming from the area around vents at the bottom of windshield but now I can't be sure lol. However I checked driver side mirror and I saw a piece wire between mirror and housing. I am assuming that wire shouldn't be sticking out like that. Passenger side mirror don't have any visible wire.
