I'd like to get reimbursed for the almost $2k I spent on mine.

But we all know what will happen. You'll get a coupon good for $500 off of any future GM purchase. To be redeemed between July 3 and July 5th excluding holidays, for any vehicle with a msrp of $80k or above excluding trucks, suv's and sports cars.

LOL, yes and no. Nobody is forced to join the class. You are free to sue on your own.

Has anyone called the number in the OP and if so, what was stated or asked.

You will be asked general info about your car. If you choose to join the suit, you will be asked to give photos of you door jamb vin sticker, buyers order and any records having to do with tranny service from GM.

Again, has anyone put themselves on ‘The List’? Seems as though there would have been a major announcement or notice to get people to opt in. I’m also curious where that original print was seen or published?

to be fair, (I have the hard shifts, did a shudder fix but its still there, not as bad though) I was getting on the highway trying to merge in the fast lane and the acceleration was delayed by around two seconds and I thought my car died out. with traffic flying up on me, it scared the shit out of me but as for the other issues, I would also agree I don't think its quite a "safety" concern.

I did have a service brake assist warning a few times which my brakes reduced to less than 50% power going 60MPH approaching traffic. ended up having to go off in the berm once.
of course I go to my local dealership and they cant locate the issue. being that it rarely occurs, of course we cant locate it but that's a part of having a new model.

I was told unofficially or off the record whatever you want to call it that the new fix is some kind of more intense flush. I hope my source was wrong.

I can’t imagine that’s the permanent resolution that everyone is waiting months for...if it is, there’s going to be a lot of unhappy campers in 8 speed Camaro land...

Not just Camaros. I saw a stack of 15 GM buy back vehicles due to the inability to resolve the issue with the A8. This is just one dealer. I am with you, if this is all the "fix" is, shit bout to get ugly.

I highly doubt a new flush will be the new "fix"...at least it better not be, because that isn't going to help!

My hard shifts eventually came back after the flush.

Also, nice to see others mention the stall/delayed acceleration scenario.

That’s been proven as a short term fix for what needs to be a long term solution.
I’m not in the place to know but I’d be will to say they’re going to have a solid fix. Personally if they’d like to opt me into a 10spd trans and the tune I’d be good with it.
