Stonebriar chevy in frisco replaced my NPP exhaust after the epoxy fix didnt work.

No hassle or haggling needed. After the first thing they tried didnt work they replaced it.

its much much better now

Sorry newnie question... So if the epoxy repair works, the rattle is gone and if one pulls the fuse , you’re stuck in track mode? Does that mean the valves are wide open all the time?

At least temporarily (for some it does work longer term)

On the second question you are not stuck in track mode which does more than change the way the exhaust valves open and close. You do however have the valves wide open all the time which even in track mode they close at part throttle and cruising

With cooler weather now I notice the rattle is still there but 1000% less noticeable.

Is there not a perm fix for this yet? Mine's been epoxied twice which only fixed it for a few months. It's driving me nuts and I'm pissed I paid extra for the NPP exhaust and have it rattling like a tin can under the car at light throttle.

Pull fuse #51! You won't regret it!

I may try that but I shouldn't have to hack a $48K car with a $800 upgraded exhaust system on it from the factory.

Pulling 51 does not eliminate the issue, before I had the fix done it was pulled and I still had the rattle.

What % of NPP cars have the rattle I wonder? Do some just never get it meaning some of the NPPs are defective?

Strange...Mine rattles 100% of the time with fuse #51 in place. Once I pull it, it NEVER rattles. Sounds great 100% of the time.

2019 1LE Rattle

Any updates on this? I got rid of my '18 1LE, am considering a '19 though. The rattle was horrible. Does anybody know whether GM addressed this? Wishful thinking I suppose.

I just tried putting high temp RTV silicone today on it. So far I can't detect the rattle, the last 2-3 weeks I've epoxied mine twice with regular and high temp epoxy and its come back both times.
