The bosy lines might be close enough to not really notice? The front fascia lines are not that pronounced anyway.

Another idea is to take a none-SS hood, cut it, and insert the 2019 hood grill in it.

Side note: I think the none-SS hood didn’t change...

honestly, i'd do the entire front end swap if it works...that's me personally. I dig the new look.

Looks like the 2019 hood lines are a bit wider than the 2016-18:

Close but not perfect. Looks like it was made on purpose to not be swapped...

It doesn't look like the driver's side is fully installed. The passenger side looks flush with the fender but the driver's looks higher still. Hard to see for sure but it looks like the that part of the bumper is a 1/4" or so higher than the fender, where the 2 meet over there, creating roughly the same size gap on that side for the hood. The rest looks flush but it's an awkward angle for the pic. Just a thought, but maybe they took a pic that mainly shows the side they did fully install.

Maybe they'll actually test fit a hood soon and we can all find out

If no one has an answer by Monday, I should be able to confirm as I've got CAD for both the '16-18 SS and the '19 SS. But I believe it should be a direct swap.

Confirmed this morning with GM-supplied CAD that the hoods are interchangeable. The biggest deviation is at the back edge of the hood, but it won't cause any issues.
