I hope it works but the Brakes on my C5 Corvette, C6 Corvette, 2011 SS, and my 2017 SS and my buddies new Shelby GT350R all squeals sometimes. I’m not optimistic this well completely get rid of the issue. Keep us posted

Nice. I knew I wasn't wigging out. I had mine brought in to the dealer at 480 miles they said its normal, and its because I bought a race car. I have a 19 SS 1LE. They ****in told me that I need to abuse the car more and the noise will go away. I said that sounds like BS but whatever. Brakes still squeel at slow speeds. I'm definitly going to bring it back.

Thank you for sharing. My 2019 does have a slight squeak on very light application, but I had assumed that it's because they are high performance brakes which are known to be noisier on the street.

Since I bought my 2018 2ss, my brakes were squealing, but only when I touched them lightly. The dealer told me its common. I'll wait until my next service since my car has already been at the dealership too many times. LOL!

"GM Engineering recognizes there are certain driving conditions that require a light brake apply such as stop and go traffic, drive-thru's, etc. and has investigated the frequency (MHz) at which the brake noise is produced. "

MHz! Wow! If this squeal is at that frequency, I don't think any car owners or their dogs will need to worry about it.

If you buy PowerStop Z24 or Z26 pads they are only $50 per set (front=$50 and back =$50) so $100 for all. Pretty reasonable and very easy to install.

Sounds like GM needs to add a drive-through window to their test course.

All the 1LE has are 6 piston version of brakes. Yes of course it will still apply. Duh lol. My 2SS camaro came with the red brembo brake upgrade and the dealer still gave me new brake pads.

The RPO doesn't match the six piston Brembos in the bulletin posted and the remedy is to change the rotor.

You always need to change the rotors with the 6 piston brembo's. You gotta pay to play. My dealer told me they"re not working the job unless I pay to get new rotors too, which where slotted and have a special design for weight savings. I didnt buy a camaro ss in cash to worry about not being able to pay for rotors when i change my brakes lmao. My last car was a Lexus RCF i paid in cash also but i wrecked it speeding. a brake job on that was a $5000 job. the Camaro ss is actually almost the same price if i get new rotors and pads all the way around. Also if i may add 4 piston brakes are so ugly and idk why people brag about them on the site lol
