That sounds more like it, glad they have clarified their position. I hope they follow through with their comments and join the other pro-gun organizations in fighting this bill.

Meanwhile, here in the great state of NY, Colgate University was locked down at 8:00 last night due to reports of a person armed with a handgun on campus. Turns out it was a student with a glue gun working on an art project.

Put Away The Pitchforks: Springfield Armory & Rock River Arms Did NOT Sell Out Gun Owners

When you invest money into something as a corporation you tend to do alot of research. When a Bill is put in front of any one containing your industry you read and understand what is going to happen and agree or disagree. I still think Springfield and Rock River are full of shit. Not sure what this means to me though. Illinois is already selling their state out about 2nd amendment rights. Really Chicago is the only question as the rest of the state is very rural and used to be nothing but corn farms. Pretty shitty for a state to focus on a City crime rate and punish the rest.

I agree with you. Those two companies pretty much make up that organization. If some new anti-gun legislation comes up, you'd think they'd touch base and say, "We're opposing this, right?" Apparently, not so. They can claim innocence, but in the end, it's their org, and it screwed us on their behalf.

I've finally gotten my wife convinced that maybe moving a bit south and east, over the border into Indiana would be a good move. Now we've just got to get the house in shape, and commit to a move. Of course, I'll be contacting Crook County, my city, and the state to let them know why I'm moving. (Though I don't want to give the impression that that's going to happen soon.)
